About Suiep
Suiep stands for Smart Upgrades for Indoor & Exterior Projects — that's the whole mission in five words. We're a home, garden, and DIY publication focused on practical, well-researched advice you can actually use, from weekend building projects to plant care and tool buying guides.
We started Suiep because too many home-improvement articles online are vague or hedge on the specifics. Every guide here aims to be detailed enough to actually follow step by step, with real materials lists and cut sizes instead of vague gestures at "the right tools."
Who writes Suiep
Suiep's guides are published under three editorial personas. Each one covers two sections of the site and writes in a consistent voice, so you know what to expect from every article: Emily explains and reassures, Claire organizes and guides, and Nora compares and helps you decide.
Emily Hart — Gardening & Indoor Plants. Patient and observant, Emily explains plant care in plain language with concrete examples, and adapts every recommendation to your light, space and routine instead of handing out one-size-fits-all rules.
Claire Bennett — DIY Projects & Home Improvement. Practical, organized and realistic, Claire starts every project with the expected result, materials, time and effort involved, then walks through the steps without hiding the tricky parts.
Nora Ellis — Tools & Outdoor Living. Analytical and direct, Nora compares options side by side, spells out strengths and limitations, and ties every purchase to the project it serves and how often you will actually use it.
Our buying guides are based on manufacturer specifications, established best practices, and the practical trade-offs between options. When an article describes hands-on testing, it says so explicitly; otherwise, it's research-based guidance.
Our editorial approach
- We research each guide against manufacturer specs and established best practices, not just other blog posts.
- We update older posts when techniques, codes, or prices change.
- We disclose affiliate relationships — see our Disclaimer.
